a head turner

An ambigram is a typographical design or art form that may be read as one or more words not only in its form as presented, but also from another viewpoint, direction or orientation. The words readable in the other viewpoint, direction or orientation may be the same or different from the original words.

A friend needed my designing abilities to create a brand identity for his brand new firm, Terra Firma.

Terra Firma is a team of young architects & designers, doing work across space & structural design. A team that boasts of doing things differently. Creatively. And innovatively.
They not only promised, but showcased examples of how they achieved extra efficiencies and newer perspectives in projects they had done. They had not just created extraordinary results, but turned projects around through their approach.

During the visualization of the corporate identity, i took this belief quite seriously. Turn things around.

The business card just demonstrated this belief. That by just turning things around (in this case the business card), what an impact one could create.

this business card design was meant to work even if flipped upside down

The logo was just a cutout within the card. Whichever way you read the card, you would complete the terra firma story, through its initials - t & f.

this logo reads the same when inverted

The identity makes heads turn. Literally.
