Design5 Studio at the AWA 2013 Holiday Mela

This weekend we got a chance to showcase our work at the AWA 2013 Holiday Mela that was held at the American Embassy School in Chanakyapuri. Delhi is so wonderful in this festive season! There were vast open spaces, the beautiful heart-warming sunlight in the nearly-there-winter temperatures, and the lovely customers were the added bonus!!
We were completely impressed by the detailed organisation, Things went on very smoothly. The check-in time was a killer, 6:45 am, on a cold November morning!! But it saved us from the messy Delhi traffic jams. We had to use cycle rickshaws to ferry our bags n boxes to and from the stalls, which made things sooooo much easier on me :). The mela was being organised on the football field of the American Embassy School, which meant plenty of open pace to walk around.
The coffee, cupcakes from the girl scouts and the shopping (which nearly took away all my earning for the day :P) kept us busy and happy on a very bright and cheerful sunday.
Here are some snapshots from our eventful day…

Design5 Studio started in 2006 out of my love for creating 'functional' design. I create 'eco-whimsical' decoupaged wooden home decor accessories out of eco-friendly wood. This wood is laser cut into perfect shapes to make Keepsake Boxes, Wall/Table Clocks, Trays/Drawer Organizers, Coasters, Wind Mobiles etc. All Design5 products are handmade by me! Design5 products are available at various e-stores and also in some retail stores across India. At Design5, i love doing customized decoupaged products and always happy to work on something new and exciting. please feel free to contact me with any enquiries or comments, or just to say hello. i'd love to hear from you.
